New York City
A daddy-daughter birthday trip to the big city. In Laura’s words.
✌️
Made it to the big city with Olivia for a late birthday celebration. Statue of Liberty. Brooklyn Bridge. Seaglass Carousel. Spaghetti for dinner (her choice).
American Girl. M&M. Gazillion Bubble Show. Taxi Ride. The High Line. Ice cream in the park. Times Square. We debated which show we were going to take her to and decided on the Gazillion Bubble Show. We all loved it and Olivia was picked to go up on stage. She really wanted to ride in a taxi and thoroughly enjoyed American Girl. We saw Times Square with all it’s lights and interesting people. I wasn’t sure Olivia would enjoy NY. Well, she fits right in here. I on the other hand have had my allotment of people for the rest of the year. I am so excited to see her reaction to tomorrow’s activities.
🍎 Trolls. Zoo. Horse and Carriage through Central Park. Serendipity. Today we surprised Olivia with the Trolls Experience. She was transformed into Poppy and had a blast. We visited the Central Park zoo. Had dinner next to a basketball player. He (Shawn Bradley) and his wife were so friendly and kind. He came back, put his hand on my shoulder which felt like he was throwing me out of my seat, and told me how sweet Olivia was before he left. We had an evening horse and carriage ride through Central Park and ended the night at Serendipity. I think Olivia had a great time. NY has so many sights, smells, and oh so many different people. Olivia wants to stay. I am exhausted. 🍎
