Kentucky
Kentucky was never on the list — and then it stole the week. Rock scrambling in Red River Gorge, a float through an old mining cave, ballgames, and thoroughbred horse farms. In Laura’s words.
Kentucky was never on the list of places but here we are 🤷♀️ 🥾 🌲 🪨 #redrivergorge #kentucky #bluegrassstate #getoutside #beenoutsideallday
• Kentucky • lots of 🪨 scrambling today Olivia and I found the perfect lunch spot while Stephen Baughn and Evan hiked to the top. You can barely see them in the picture. • • • #bluegrassstate #hiking #kentucky #getoutside #outsideallday #nature
Floated through an old mining cave. Went to Louisville and of course visited Louisville Slugger. Saw the University and checked out the baseball field. Of course when visiting Kentucky you must see horses. Don’t know much about horse racing but we visited a farm that takes in abandoned horses, retired thoroughbreds, and thoroughbreds who didn’t make the cut. We saw some horses from some pretty neat thoroughbred lineage of sire names that we recognized. They were absolutely gorgeous.
Another hike and lots of graffiti murals
Got to catch 2 sporting events while we were here. University of Kentucky vs. Auburn in ⚾️ which was probably one of the most fun games we have seen. Stephen Baughn and Evan got to watch Auburn vs. Creighton and Tennessee vs. UCLA in round 2 of March Madness🏀. Such an awesome experience for them. Auburn has some of the best fans 🦅WDE!
Love these pictures a sweet baseball mom took of Evan #littleleague ⚾️
