• Chewacla State Park (Auburn) — waterfall, lake and trails right outside town.
• Providence Canyon State Park — Georgia’s “Little Grand Canyon,” the pink-and-orange eroded gullies.
• Smith Mountain Fire Tower — short climb to a restored fire lookout over Lake Martin.
• Museum of Wonder Drive-Thru (Seale) — folk-art roadside oddity you tour from the car.
• Orr Park & Brierfield Ironworks (Montevallo) — carved “Tinglewood” tree faces + an old ironworks park.
